Teach Your Clients to be Happier and Healthier

I appreciate your effort to enhance the well being of your clients.  I'd like to tell you about an easy way to help them by adding happiness training to your practice—to improve your clients’ lives while doing well for yourself.
In recent years, study after study has demonstrated that happier people are healthier. The case for a relationship is clear.  Unfortunately, little attention has been paid to the biological roots of happiness.  Many methods for inducing happiness are rather indirect and very time consuming.  We have developed a system, the Peak BrainHappiness Trainer, that is both simple and effective and uses the principles of science—neurofeedback--to induce these states.  In fact, our clients often report feeling better after just one session.
The word about the effectiveness of neurofeedback (brainwave biofeedback) for a number of conditions is spreading far and wide.  For example, the July issue of the prestigious Clinical EEG and Neuroscience journal features review articles concluding that it is effective for ADD and intractable epilepsy, based on meta-analyses of many studies.  Years of successful treatment of a wide variety of conditions has made the public far more interested in trying neurofeedback training.
Our Peak Achievement Trainer has been used to enhance peak performance at six Olympic Training Centers, including the U.S., Canada, and England; and with many elite athletes and college teams, as well as Fortune 500 companies.   On a lighter note, our patented approach is at the hub of the brainwave-powered toys that will be making a big splash this Christmas.
Now you can be one of the first to offer your clients our Neureka! NeuroVideoFeedback training, which helps them to feel happy, healthy, and focused without being stressed.  All you have to do is get them started by slipping on the SensorBand--a headband that wirelessly connects to the PC--starting up a happy DVD (three are included with the system), adjusting the controls, and giving them some brief instructions.  The better they feel, the bigger the picture gets, and the louder the audio.   You can work with some of your other clients while they begin to feel better, and then come back to coach them a bit, or your assistant can take care of them during their session.  Your clients will emerge from the session feeling wonderful and thanking you for it.

The subjects in a study recently completed by Dr. Beverly Rubik clearly identified the increases in the their Neureka! protocol output as strongly related to their feelings of happiness, love, and gratitude, as well as their experiences of being fully aware, mindful, and anticipating that something good would happen.  These relationships were strongly significant (all p < .001), as were the slightly weaker relationships to feelings of satisfaction and peace. There was also a clear relationship to decreased stress.  Moreover, they found that when they enhanced Neureka!, feelings of stress diminished (p < .0001).  Advanced meditators were better able to access the Neureka! experience.

These results were what we expected from our preliminary trials, and from recent research on the brain's pleasure centers.  Studies by Dr. Brian Knutson from Stanford using an fMRI brain scanner showed that there is also a pleasure center in the prefrontal cortex, right underneath the middle of the forehead, just where we had been placing our electrodes for 10 years.  It’s connected to the other pleasure centers--the Ventral Tegmental Area (VTA) and Nucleus Accumbens (NA)--by brain cells that use the same chemical, dopamine, to modulate the signals.  Clients soon learn how to shift their brain's state to keep the Pleasure Centers more fully activated.  They can then train themselves to feel this happy when they are thinking about or doing a wide variety of things.  The illustration at the right is one part of a Flash Movie that shows the entire Neureka! NeuroVideoFeedback process on a webpage that describes it more completely.  The effectiveness of this process is improved by wearing the Invisible Clock, which vibrates to remind them every few minutes through the day when they are not in a training session.

I was feeling down in the dumps, overwhelmed by thinking about a number of troubling situations. I decided to do an Excited Happiness session. Just a few minutes after I started the 25-minute session, I was feeling quite cheerful and my troubles had faded into the background. It lasted for the rest of the day. The next day, I trained with the Peak BrainHappiness Trainer for just 15 minutes and although I was cognitively aware of my troubling problems, they had no emotional effect on me. I remained happy and a bit excited. Again, it lasted the entire day. How wonderful!

Clients often report feeling a lot better after just one session, particularly with our new Excited Happiness Designs, which train the feeling that rock stars create at their concerts and basketball teams give their fans.  These are the moments that we live for--the events we remember that motivate us to go on existing through the tough times.  The Excited Happiness Designs combine the Neureka! Protocols with the Alertness Protocols from the original Peak Achievement Trainer, to increase arousal as well as positive feelings.  The third major Protocol, the patented single-pointed Focus training system, is also included in the Peak BrainHappiness Trainer.

This Premium Edition of the Peak Achievement Trainer includes all three Protocols woven into 68 Designs, including the new Excited Happiness Designs.   It can help older folks in your practice who are having trouble focusing to relearn the skill, as well as youngsters with problems paying attention who want to excel at school or athletics.   There are also special Designs for training meditation.
With just a bit of marketing to your current clients, you can increase your income quite considerably by charging $50 to $200 per session, depending on the length of the session, your credentials, and your locale.   Although, following FDA restrictions, we are careful not to make any medical claims for the Peak BrainHappiness Trainer, there may be methods by which some practitioners can bill insurance for some clients.  When I was in private practice as an unlicensed but BCIAC certified neurotherapist, I sometimes received over $300 for a session.   That was 10 years ago.  Typically, training a client can take between 10 and 40 sessions.  Leases can be arranged over five years at reasonable terms.  Only two sessions a month will pay for the equipment and leave money in your pocket.
